THE PRUDENT PINEAPPLE

I'm sitting here thinking...."Can I manage to write anything PROFOUND about PINEAPPLES?" I mean they're a bit prickly on the outside, and super sweet on the inside, kinda like me.  But THERE MUST BE MORE.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I've always preferred the look of pineapples to the taste.  And this sense of preference applies to other areas of my life as well. For example, I prefer the idea of being social to actually engaging in small talk, the daydream to the LATE NIGHTS spent hustling for it, the feeling of falling in love to the often-times tough act of LOVING.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
SO WHAT PROFOUND LESSON THEN, HAS THE PRUDENT PINEAPPLE TAUGHT US?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
That it is in the CONTRAST - somewhere between the hard exterior and soft interior, the prickly and smooth, the sour and sweet - that we perceive preference. And from preference grows DESIRE. And it is the never-ending pursuit of our simplest and most sophisticated, surreal desires that creates this journey we call LIFE, and the person we call "ME".
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Profound? Probably not.  Preferable to a boring caption like "a bowl of pineapples"?  I hope so. :)
